Was established in 2018 to close the educational gaps surrounding foundational business principles for startup businesses and minority owned businesses. Our goal is to guide new and aspiring entrepreneur step by step through the startup business process by offering in person and virtual entrepreneurship and trade training courses.

What is BTE Academy?
he Entrepreneur Academy is a 12 week youth entrepreneurship and trade incubator program that supports Foster care children who are preparing to age out of foster care within 1-2 years and at risk youth between the ages of 14-19 learn the necessary leadership, entrepreneurship, and trade training skills to be able to establish self-sufficiency.

How does the BTE Academy program work?
Youth are enrolled in our 12 week BTE academy course which includes curriculum that covers emotional stability, coping skills, professionalism, leadership, entrepreneurship training, and trade prep training. Upon the completion of their 12 week training program, the students will be able to choose their career option of choice which includes paid entrepreneurship or trade training internships. From there they will have the ability to get the financial support that the need to cover the cost of training in their career field of choice.

How do youth enroll in the program?
Currently we are only partnering with targeted non-profit agencies to provide BTE Academy services. If you have a teen youth participant who meets the criteria of the program (Foster care aging out within 1-2 years or at risk youth) or you are a non-profit organization looking to add our services to your program curriculum, please email us at [email protected] and we will be happy to get you over a list of our non-profit partners in your area.

How often does the program run?
BTE Academy is ran on a quarterly basis. Jan-Mar, Apr-June, July-Sept, Oct-Dec. With a program graduation and pitch competition at the end of week 12 and internship placement.

Brandi Fox
As a lover of all things entrepreneurship I have over 11 years of experience in entrepreneurship and creating profitable brands including 4 of my own B. The Entrepreneur Consulting Agency, Pamper Us Mobile Massage Service, Rollin’ Clt Outdoor and Mobile Rink, and Grilling with the Fox. Prior to my entrepreneurship journey, I worked as the lead youth camp and afterschool counselor for 4 years in college followed by 5 years of youth and adult social work for the Department of Social Services. As a teen entrepreneurship mentor for Stiletto Boss University, a Charlotte, NC based female teen youth program for the past 6 years, I have been able to see first-hand the positive effects of guided entrepreneurship and trade training for youth. Seeing the need for inclusive life skills, entrepreneurship, and trade training for youth who have decided that college was not the route for them fueled my desire to create a fast track program that trains the youth on the nation’s quickest and top paid trade training options.
